Our recruitment processes aim to identify the people who possess the potential to add the most value to our businesses. Our comprehensive candidate selection and recruitment process is complemented by an in-depth induction for all new-joiners, making each new member of our teams fully aware of The Monarch Group work ethos, vision, mission and values.


We also endeavour to develop our existing talent. In 2012, over 100 of our managers embarked on a values-led leadership programme, Lead to Succeed, which represents a strong commitment by The Monarch Group to invest in the leadership capabilities of its people and to identify rising stars for the future.

The performance of our people is paramount to our business strategies and the Performance Development Review (PDR) initiative ensures that all of our people have clear objectives against which they can be benchmarked and to identify areas for further development. Aligned with this, a Learning and Development Framework has been introduced to provide all employees across The Monarch Group with access to a suite of developmental training, with each programme designed to help get the best from current skills while focusing on the development of additional capabilities.
