The Monarch Group is a leading UK independent airline group with core activities in scheduled airline operations, tour operations and aircraft engineering.

For over five decades we have been fulfilling our customers' desires for travel and are proud to have been one of the UK travel industry's most enduring success stories. Since 1961 we have been seeking to meet customers' requirements for an authentic travel experience with high-quality travel products, superior care and value for money.

It’s over 30 years since Monarch launched scheduled flying and in that time we’ve grown to become a leading scheduled airline focused on the leisure sector. Our tour operating division has been in business for over 50 years and today provides a fully flexible and protected holiday proposition. Monarch Aircraft Engineering’s expertise has underpinned the quality and efficiency of the Monarch fleet for over 40 years and has a rapidly-growing third-party customer base.

Today Monarch provides some seven million airline sector seats taking passengers to 40 destinations from 5 UK bases.

The Group has a unique combination of activities, which goes back to its roots in the 1960s. Monarch Airlines has developed significantly from its origins in charter flying for tour operators to become one of the UK’s leading scheduled leisure airlines. Through our tour operating division, Monarch has been building holiday packages for over 50 years and today offers flexible, fully-protected holiday products to meet the changing needs of travel customers.
